The Handcrafting Process
No detail on an Aristocrat mattress is there by chance. Each and every one has been factored in for a pleasantly-snug sleep. While the entire making of these details involve many, many steps, the most important ones are finished by hand.
1. Springing
As the spring system is the mattress foundation, it’s made first. The inner spring within Aristocrat’s Dual-Coil Pocket Spring is placed in by hand.
2. Layering
Comfort layers are produced separately. Once ready, Aristocrat Craftsman spread each layer out neatly, making sure that the surface is even as they go along.
3. Encasing
The combined layers and spring system are then encased in the outer fabric, which at this stage, appears like a huge cloth pouch.
4. Tape-Edging
To secure it off, Craftsman stitch a tape-like fabric to the edges, creating a solid lining and finished edge with every stitch.
5. Handtufting
Finally, handtufting begins. Handtufting holds the mattress together perfectly and creates a plush resting surface. This entire process is completed by hand, with the help of only a tufting needle and buttons.
